Okay, I am back from the Robson Valley Music Festival and finally feeling hydrated enough to write something. If any of you happen to find yourself in North-Western Canada next summer and are looking for an event to attend, I suggest you take a long look at this little festival in Dunster, BC. You may not initially know any of the musical acts on the website but that should certainly not deter you from picking up a weekend pass. There was something for everyone…genres ranged from the jaw-droppingly-wild, Siberian-Mongolian group called Namgar to the crowd-pulling Australian trio, OKA. There were some incredible folk bands from Vancouver (Headwater, Maria in the Shower, Miss Emily Brown…) as well as performances by more local acts (Sasha Lewis, Sam Heine…) and as always the Festival hosts, Mamaguroove. It was without a doubt one of the highlights of my summer and if I can make it work, I will try my hardest to attend again in the future.
